VILLAGE CIRCLE GROUP SESSIONS

Group Sessions

Village Circle Counselling offers Group Therapy Sessions via video-conference technology. Our group sessions are a process in which up to 5 clients and a therapist work together to identify challenges, share experiences, and create a support system while exploring coping strategies and various ways to address individual concerns.  This group therapy session is a series of 5 sessions. Each session is 75 minutes long.

Group Therapy sessions may be for you if:

·       you are feeling isolated

·       you want to relate to other people who might be facing similar circumstances

·       you want to encourage & offer support to others as you proceed on your wellness journey

·       learn from strategies that others have found beneficial

·       role-play in a safe environment

·       create your own village support systems

What you can expect:

·       75 minute sessions x 5 sessions

·       Identification of the challenge

·       Goal setting

·       CBT/strength-based/mindfulness therapeutic models

·       Mental Health Toolkit refresh

·       Agreeing to work on goals outside of sessions

·       Video-conference PHIPA approved confidentiality

·       Trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, anti-Black racism & critical race approaches/frameworks

·       Assistance in accessing community supports tailored to your experience

·       Sharing experiences with other women who are facing similar challenges

·       Learning in a group setting
